Although Queenstown is known as the adventure capital, it is also home to several of the most scenic golf courses in New Zealand, and in our opinion, the world. We have put together a list of our favourite courses to tee off at, where you will find immaculate greens surrounded by the rugged landscapes of the South.

Millbrook
Currently holding the title of New Zealand’s best Golf Hotel, this 27-hole course is set in a picturesque location just outside of Arrowtown boasting photo opportunities at every hole.

Arrowtown Golf Course
Nestled into the hillside of the Crown Range, the Arrowtown Golf Course is one of Queenstown’s, and New Zealand’s, most challenging 18 hole courses. The diversity of this course makes it a favourite among the tourists and locals alike.

The Hills
The Hills opened in 2017 and is regarded as one of the most scenic courses New Zealand has to offer. Set in a glacial valley the course highlights all of what Queenstown is, scattered with lakes, sculptures, rocky schist outcrops and elevated tees, this course is one for the bucket list.

Jacks Point
The Jacks Point golf course has been dubbed one of the most spectacular courses, offering an 18-hole par 72 course which poses a challenge to both beginner and experienced golfers. Jacks Point follows the natural contours and features of its alpine surroundings.

Frankton Golf Centre
Located a short 10-minute drive from Queenstown in Frankton, the Frankton Golf Centre is home to a 10-bay driving range, a practice putting and chipping green, and a 9-hole course ideal for the beginner golfer.

Queenstown Golf Course
Located in Kelvin Heights right on the Peninsula, the Queenstown Golf course is surrounded on three sides by the glacial waters of Lake Wakatipu and backed by the Remarkables Mountain Range. If you are travelling without a car, this 18-hole course is just a short water taxi ride away from Queenstown Bay, and offers a great course for all levels.
