With two large supermarkets just a short drive away in Frankton and three local supermarkets in town, getting your holiday essentials won’t be an issue in Queenstown. Below we have put together a supermarket guide of where to shop for all your different needs while on holiday.
1/12 Hawthorne Dr, Remarkables Park, Queenstown
Open Monday – Sunday 8am to 9pm
Conveniently located in the Remarkables Park shopping centre, and only a 15-minute drive from Queenstown, New World is one of the largest chain supermarkets in Queenstown. New World is perfect for those staying in town longer and wanting all the necessities of home comforts.

Fine food lovers should definitely pay a visit to the Med Market, a small boutique supermarket just on the outskirts of Queenstown Town which stocks a variety of local and international specialty products and locally-grown fresh produce. Within the supermarket it also houses a deli/butchery counter and a small café known for its delicious treats.

This is small store, a cross between a supermarket and convenience store (dairy as the locals call them). Located in the heart of Queenstown it is perfect for picking up the essentials on your way home from town.

Located a short 15-minute drive from Queenstown in the new 5 mile shopping centre, Countdown is one of the largest chain supermarkets in Queenstown with everything you need for a long stay in Queenstown.

Open Monday - Sunday 7am to 11pm
Fresh Choice is a standard supermarket within a short 5-minute walk from town, there is also plenty of car parking if you are driving.
