24.7.2017

With the past 2 weeks bringing 2 storms to the whole of New Zealand, our local ski fields have had a good top up of fresh snow, with coverage looking better than ever. Now with the passing of the storms we are in for bluebird conditions for the week ahead. See below a brief update on the ski field conditions:

Coronet Peak:

Overnight Coronet peak got 10cm of fresh snow taking the maximum coverage up to 125cm! With all lifts now operating as well as some great off-piste skiing – head up Coronet for an afternoon of skiing and stay a little later Friday and Saturday nights to experience night skiing.

Remarkables:

Although not receiving as much snow as Coronet overnight last night, the Remarks did get a nice dusting of 5cm, taking the maximum coverage to 75cm. All the lifts are operating, as well as access to all back-country skiing and park. Head to Remarks and experience breath-taking views and take your skills to the next level on one of the many parks.

Cardrona:

Over the past week Cardrona has received a whopping 60cm of fresh snow! Taking the coverage at the top to 96cm. The most recent storm created the perfect playground both on and off trail, with all lifts and parks open. If you aren’t interested in skiing or snowboarding, Cardrona also has great tubing available.
