This year celebrates 30 years of Warbirds over Wanaka, an event held biannually over the Easter long weekend (30^th – 1^st April). WOW draws in over 50, 000 aviation enthusiasts from around the world to enjoy a display of 80 different aircrafts in flight, for the Southern Hemispheres largest airshow.

Friday the 30^th is a practice day and is not open to the public until late in the afternoon when WOW will be showcasing helicopters and the Catalina at a free event help on the waterfront. Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April are the Airshow display days where continuous action with the flying programme goes from 10.00am to 4pm. 

Set in Wanaka, the dramatic mountain scenery provides the perfect backdrop for the extravaganza of aerial action, with warbirds, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays, skydiving and much more!
