TSS Earnslaw – Walter Peak BBQ Lunch & Lake Cruise

9.5.2017

Known by the locals as the “Lady of the Lake” – the TSS Earnslaw has been seen cruising on Lake Wakatipu since 1912, originally used to transport supplies to the inaccessible areas surrounding the lake. Today one of the best ways to see Queenstown’s infamous alpine scenery is from the water, and what better way than reliving the elegance of travel aboard the vintage steamship.

A great option for the family - Take a cruise on the Earnslaw to Walter Peak and spend the afternoon filling up on the delicious (ALL you can eat!) BBQ lunch where you will be spoilt for choice from a selection of local produce, followed by a guided farm tour by one of the resident farmers, get acquainted with the animals and watch the working dogs put on a show.

When: From 12pm daily

Where: Real Journeys Visitor Centre, Steamer Wharf, Queenstown

Operates all year except for mid-May – late June where it undergoes annual maintenance.
